Very Sheltered Housing - Jarvis Court, Fraserburgh

Osprey Housing (formally AHP) own a Very Sheltered Housing Complex in Fraserburgh comprising of 20 self contained housing units, with care provided in partnership by Aberdeenshire Council. Osprey hold the waiting list for this complex and application forms can be obtained by calling Westhill office on 01224 548000 or Jarvis Court direct on 01346 511802.

Applicants will then be assessed for care needs and points allocated accordingly, the assessment will be carried out by a member of Aberdeenshire Council’s Care Management Team.

Mid Market Rented Properties - Osprey Initiatives (AHPD Ltd)

Osprey Initiatives own eight 2 bedroom properties as part of the Mugiemoss development in Aberdeen City. These are let at Mid Market rent and applications are taken direct at the Osprey office on 01224 548008 or visit www.openingnewdoors.co.uk.

National Housing Trust (NHT)

AHP are the managing agents for Mid Market rental properties in Aberdeen City provided by the NHT in conjunction with Stewart Milne Homes. The NHT initiative properties are located in Kingswells and Cove, comprising of one, two and three bedroom properties. To be eligible for one of these properties you must meet certain criteria

  • Have a Household income of less than £35,000

The NHT Initiative provides a potential opportunity to buy the property after a minimum 5 year period, depending on the housing market position at that time. In the event that the properties are released to the open market, it is intended that the sitting tenant will be offered first refusal.

Successful applicants will sign up to a Short Assured Tenancy for an initial minimum period of 6 months, continuing on a monthly basis thereafter.

Aberdeen Soroptimist Housing Society

Aberdeen Soroptimist Housing Society are a local RSL organisation of charitable status. Osprey are the managing agent for their scheme at Beechgrove Terrace in Aberdeen City fulfilling the role as their housing services provider.

The housing scheme at Beechgrove Terrace is to provide housing to single woman over the age of 60. If you are interested in being considered for one of these properties please contact the Osprey office.

Low Cost Home Ownership

Scottish Government Open Market Shared Equity Scheme. The Open Market Shared Equity Scheme aims to help first time buyers on low to moderate incomes who wish to purchase a home on the open market but cannot afford to pay the full market price for a property.

The following priority groups may apply to the scheme:

  • First time buyers
  • Tenants of a local authority or housing association
  • Members of the armed forces, forces veterans, widows, widowers, and other partners of service personnel
  • Disabled people

Applicants pay for the majority share (between 60% - 90% based on their income) with the Scottish Government helping to fund the remainder of the price of the property. There are however limits set on the price of homes that can be bought, based on the size of the property and its location.

The scheme is administered by Grampian Housing Association on behalf of the Scottish Government.
