Fuel Poverty News

September 2011

Fuel poverty is an issue that affects approximately 41% of all households in some regions in Scotland. Households that spend more than 10% of their income on energy bills are classed as living in fuel poverty.

As a result of the recent 20% increases in gas and electricity costs AHP have now introduced an energy advisory service for all our tenants.  As a tenant you will now have access to the best advice possible in addressing the impact of rising fuel costs on your home. This is a free and independent service to help you with energy advice.

If you require the help of this service please contact our new Housing Energy Advisor Mrs Elaine Blane on 01224 548013 or clink on the link below for more information.
